In summer, even when I’m working without turning on the air conditioner, I need a fan that can run for a long time in the living room. Since I’ve set up the living room as a workspace after tidying my office, I often direct the breeze toward my desk while working. When I turn on the air conditioner, the fan also helps circulate the cool air toward the kitchen or room entrances.
The product I recently tried is the Shinil Electronics 18-blade BLDC fan. According to the box label, the model number is SIF-DC26FU. Before seeing the product, the first things that caught my eye were the 18-blade fan and the BLDC motor. These days, it’s more important that the fan doesn’t become annoying during long use than just having a strong breeze.
When choosing a product, it’s good to check the model number SIF-DC26FU, the 18-blade design,
and the BLDC motor specifications together.
Box and Unboxing Impressions

The box is labeled as Shinil BLDC Fan for seating, with the brand and product name neatly displayed on the front. The contents include the base, pole, head, blades, protective grille, and remote control—similar to typical stand fans. Although there appear to be many parts, the assembly process was not complicated.

I didn’t find assembling it alone too difficult. You just connect the base and pole, then attach the head, protective grille, and blades in order. However, you need a screwdriver to secure the grille. It would have been more convenient if the screws could be tightened by hand. Still, once assembled, the fan felt stable without noticeable wobbling.
A Familiar Traditional Fan Design

Many BLDC motor fans come in a circulator style, which feels great for sending wind far but can look like a small air circulator indoors. This product has a traditional stand fan shape, making it blend naturally when placed inside a living room. Its white color also complements other home appliances well.

Another plus is that it uses a direct 220V power cord instead of an adapter. Fans with adapters often lead to inconvenient cable management.

Since this is a wired stand fan intended for fixed use, it suits being placed near a desk or within the living room for continuous use.
The 18-Blade Fan Delivers a Gentle Breeze Rather Than a Sharply Blowing Wind

It's still before peak summer, so I haven’t run it long on high settings to fully evaluate noise levels. Therefore, I can’t conclusively assess high-speed noise. However, at usual settings, the fan sound wasn’t particularly bothersome. Maybe because of the many blades, the airflow felt more soft and widespread than sharply hitting the face.

I spend a lot of time working in the living room, which I use as an office space. On days without air conditioning, I often position the fan toward my desk. A too-strong breeze can be uncomfortable in this setup. A quiet, natural airflow is better for sitting long hours. In this regard, it was easy to keep on during remote work.
It Balances Airflow Toward the Desk and Living Room Circulation

The fan’s main use for me is while working in the living room. Pointed at the desk, it provides a gentle breeze instead of a harsh wind directly hitting the body. On days the air conditioner is on, I plan to position it between the living room and kitchen to help distribute the cool air evenly. This arrangement is especially useful in homes where cool air doesn’t reach the kitchen or room entrances directly.

Older circulators were known for blasting strong wind over a distance. Lately, many models emphasize subtle airflow movement. This fan fits better with scenarios of prolonged use near a desk or gently moving air around a living space rather than delivering hard blasts of wind.
I Preferred the Controls on the Fan Itself Over the Remote

It comes with a basic remote control, which is convenient when sitting on a sofa or at a desk. However, small remotes tend to get lost at home. For that reason, I pay attention to the on-device controls. This model has a touch control panel and LED display on the base, so you don’t have to search for the remote.
Some fans place buttons behind the head or on top of the motor, making quick manual operation awkward. Here, you can press the controls on the base by hand or even tap with your foot if needed. Since it’s a product used multiple times daily, this kind of effortless control experience matters more than expected.
Height Is Well-Suited for Use Between Desk and Living Room

The height adjustment range is wider than I expected. When raised, it feels significantly taller than older stand fan models. You can keep it low to direct airflow toward a desk or raise it slightly to circulate air deeper into the living room or kitchen. Although the base isn’t very small, it feels stable enough for living room use.

The design is simple and unobtrusive—not flashy, yet not lacking. Its white finish fits in smoothly with other home appliances, avoiding being a distraction. For frequently used products, this kind of subtle comfort is important, and this fan delivers on that front.
Drawbacks and Things to Consider Before Buying

If I had to point out drawbacks, it would be mobility. Unlike portable fans powered by backup batteries, this wired stand fan isn’t meant to be carried room-to-room. It’s best suited for fixed placement. Also, needing a screwdriver to secure the protective grille might feel inconvenient during assembly.
However, these aren’t serious flaws but rather just differences in usage style. Compared to portable fans, it stands sturdily and plugs directly into a 220V outlet, which is actually convenient. Considering price and features, it’s not especially standout but also not lacking.
Ideal for These Types of Homes

The Shinil Electronics 18-blade BLDC fan doesn’t emphasize one special feature but excels as a comfortable fan to run for long periods in the living room. It’s worth considering if you find typical fan noise annoying during remote work, want a gentle breeze directed at your desk, or want to help distribute cold air when running the air conditioner.
Even bladeless fans sometimes have structural noise or operational sounds that bother users. This model was quiet and familiar in use. Whether placed beside a desk for quiet cooling or used between the living room and kitchen to spread air, it satisfies the needs of everyday lifestyle use.
